ALCOHOL SCREEN, URINE
This assay detects Ethyl Glucuronide (EtG) and Ethyl Sulphate (EtS) metabolites of ethanol (alcohol) in urine. EtG is a direct metabolite of alcohol used to detect recent ethanol ingestion even after ethanol is no longer measurable. Both EtG and EtS can detect acute and chronic alcohol consumption as early as 1.5 hours to 80 hours post consumption as compared to routine assays which detect only from 8-12 hours. Alcoholics in abstinence have no detectable levels of EtG/EtS in their urine after approximately 80 hours of detoxification |
